The Wellington Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) has entered into the public phase of their strategic planning process with the launch of an online tool called Thoughtexchange. Parents, students, staff and community are invited to participate in the Strat Chat between October 1 and October 19, 2018 and to share their ideas and thoughts for the board’s future
The links to Thoughtexchange, available on the board’s website wellingtoncdsb.ca will play an integral part in the development of the strategic plan. There is also a text message option so that individuals can participate in whatever the default language setting is on their phone via Google translate. These options encourage diverse and inclusive engagement. People will be able to share their thoughts, day or night; whatever is convenient for their busy schedules.

You will be asked to share your thoughts about what is working well and what we can improve across our district. When you are finished sharing your own thoughts, you will be asked to rate the thoughts of others. These ratings will help us understand what matters most to our community as we refresh our board’s Strategic Plan to take us to 2024.

“The responses collected from our community will help shape the direction of our Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP),” said Tamara Nugent, Director of Education for WCDSB. “We are invested in building relationships and developing a deep sense of ownership within the entire community to improve student learning and faith formation experiences. We want to hear your thoughts and gather your innovative ideas to inspire and shape our future and our continued success.”

When complete, the MYSP will provide the board with overall direction to guide the board from September 2019 through to June 2024.
