Athletic Association and Area of Competition
Bishop Macdonell Celtics are members of Central Western Ontario Secondary Schools Association (CWOSSA), District 10.
Participation in the District 10 association includes schools in the Wellington Catholic and Upper Grand School Boards including St. James CHS, Our Lady of Lourdes CHS, Orangeville DHS, Centennial CVI, John F. Ross, G.C.V.I., Center Wellington DHS, Westside Secondary, Norwell and Center Dufferin. Athletes who achieve success at District 10 play may advance to CWOSSA
competition which includes schools from the Central West region of Ontario. Only senior level athletes and teams advance beyond this level to the provincial OFSSA competition.
Schools are classified
according to student population: A (1-500), AA (501-900), AAA (901 – 1250) or AAAA (1250+). Bishop Macdonell is therefore
classified as ‘AA’ and this only affects competition at the regional and provincial levels.
Students, parents and staff are invited to check out sports schedules, scorers, and game results anytime at
on this website.
