What choices do students have in Grades 11 and 12?
There are 4 TYPES OF COURSES to choose that will prepare you for post-secondary plans after high school:
How do the TYPES of courses a student takes in Grades 9 and 10 affect their options in the senior grades?
The courses students choose in grades 9 and 10 prepare them for specific courses in grades 11 and 12. There are prerequisites required for most courses in Grades 11 and 12. The choices in Grades 11 and 12 will affect their post-secondary choices after they graduate.
Are students able to transfer from one type of course to another?
Students may change from one type of course to another in the area of English, mathematics or science. To do so, they may have to repeat a subject (e.g. a student who completed grade 10 Applied math may have to take grade 10 Academic math) OR the student may take a summer school transfer course.
