The Wellington Catholic District School Board welcomes families to register their children for Kindergarten beginning Monday, January 4 for the 2021-2022 school year.
Kindergarten registration is set to run until January 29 and is conveniently available online or by contacting your local Catholic elementary school. To assist in optimal planning for Kindergarten programs for the upcoming school year, we encourage families to register within this registration period.
“At Wellington Catholic, we are proud to provide a high quality, faith-based education where your child will grow, learn and discover,” said Tyrone Dowling, Superintendent of Education. “We look forward to welcoming families in Wellington County to join the Wellington Catholic family at one of our 18 elementary schools.”
To attend Year 1 (Junior) Kindergarten in September 2021, students must be four-years-old on or before December 31, for those inquiring about starting in Year 2 (Senior) Kindergarten – children must be five-years-old on or before December 31.
Unique to Wellington Catholic DSB, families interested in having their child enter school immersed in a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme have the option to do so at Sacred Heart Guelph. Sacred Heart has been recognized as a candidate school by IB World, sharing the common philosophy that a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students is done so by delivering challenging, high quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision. The Sacred Heart IB PYP provides education that promotes critical thinking skills and allows elementary students to begin their French studies in Kindergarten. Please note, that limited space is available, and registrations must be completed by January 29 to be considered for this program.
Please visit out Junior and Senior Kindergarten Registration page for more details on how to register.
We look forward to you joining our Wellington Catholic family!
