Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic High School Graduation

The Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic High School Class of 2022 was recognized at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate last night.

Principal Betty Farrell and Vice Principal Brian Halford celebrated a graduating class of near 160 students. Co-valedictorians were Melia Tessel and Eryn Lacsamana.

THE ANGELO & RINA LONGO SCHOLARSHIP is presented to a student planning a post-secondary education who demonstrates active faith and community involvement.

THE CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION FUTURE FUND SCHOLARSHIP is presented to a student in recognition of his or her achievement in light of unusual educational, family, or social challenges faced during high school.

THE DOUG CUMMINGS MEMORIAL BURSARY is presented in memory of Doug Cummings, a former teacher, Head of Guidance, Athletic Director, and basketball and football coach at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic High School from 1971 - 1999. The recipient is a student who over the course of his or her high school years has participated and has been committed to the athletic program showing character development through sport while remaining devoted to their academics.

THE DR. R. N. PANDEY MEMORIAL AWARD FOR SCIENCE EXCELLENCE is donated by Mr. and Mrs. Pandey in memory of their father. This award is presented to a graduating student who demonstrates academic excellence across three or more different grade 12 science courses and who is pursuing a science related field.

THE MYOWORX® PHYSIOTHERAPY AWARD OF EXCELLENCE IN HEALTH SCIENCES recognizes the student who is focused on making a difference in the Health Sciences. The MyoWORX® Concussion Treatment Program pioneers the advancement of the treatment of concussion symptoms and post-concussion syndrome. As such, the student recognized, exemplifies academic excellence, leadership among their peers and a pioneering spirit and is expected to make a significant contribution to the Health Sciences within their chosen field.

THE ROBERT AND MARY SUTHERLAND MEMORIAL AWARD is donated by Mr. Jeff Sutherland of the Sutherland Insurance Company in memory of his parents, Robert and Mary Sutherland.
