Classroom and Student Supervisor Positions
 

Under the direction of the Principal/Vice-Principal, the Classroom & Student Supervisor will supervise and support students when teachers are absent ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times. The Supervisor will also create and coordinate safe and enjoyable activities for students while cooperating with school staff regarding safety protocols and plans.

 
Supply Educational Assistant
 
Under the direction of the Principal, the classroom teacher, and in consultation with the special education resource teacher, the educational assistant works with special needs students both individually and/or in a group setting. The educational assistant supports students in achieving
personal, social, academic and physical development. Educational Assistants must possess willingness, along with the physical ability, to work with all of our students who have many diverse needs.

 

Supply Early Childhood Educator

 

Under the direction of the Principal, the supply Early Childhood Educator (ECE) will partner with the classroom teacher to plan and implement a full-day early learning program within a classroom setting which will enhance the children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. The ECE will provide supervision and age appropriate (learning) programming for groups of students as required.

Student Supervisors

 

Under the direction of the Principal/Vice-Principal or designate, the supervisor will monitor, supervise and ensure the safety and security of students during the indoor/outdoor, lunch/recess period. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with children of various ages. They will possess, patience, flexibility, good communication and conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm and

handle emergency situations. 

 

Supply Secretary

 

Under the direction of the Principal and/or Vice-Principal, the Supply Secretary will perform general secretarial assistance for school offices, including reception and attendance duties, communication with parents, students, and external contacts, possible assistance with bookkeeping, school banking, and budget control including purchase orders and tender orders.
