Safe Schools

“All people are created equal, in the image and likeness of God.” ~ Genesis 1:26-31

Inspired by the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, Wellington Catholic welcomes every person as a creature of God and is committed to providing a caring and safe environment that celebrates the uniqueness and dignity of all persons.

All students, faculty and staff honour the special gifts of each individual when they follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Wellington Catholic faculty and staff, who live their faith, serve as every day role models.

At Wellington Catholic, differences are embraced and all are encouraged to live virtues that promote responsible citizenship like fairness and respect.

Bullying and harassment, of any kind, are not tolerated.

Inclusiveness and Acceptance Defines a Catholic Learning Community

In recent years, the Ontario Ministry of Education has required that school boards adopt ‘new’ initiatives to make schools safer places to learn and work. This has been the Catholic school mandate for over a hundred years - a focus on inclusiveness and acceptance is not new.

Wellington Catholic faculty and staff encourage appropriate student behaviour through the Catholic faith and as outlined in the Progressive Discipline and Promoting Positive Student Behavior
