IB Students Win Grant from City, Create Opportunity for Youth Active Transportation

Grade 12 Bishop Macdonell CHS IB students, Zizi Pham and Vanessa Lall, have launched a bike lending program for youth through funding from the City of Guelph's Youth Climate Action micro-grant.
Through a successful grant application, the students purchased bicycles and helmets, partnering with the Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation to organize two group rides to promote sustainable travel to combat climate change.
During these two kick-off events, the Halloween Bike Ride Series saw participants touring around Bishop Macdonell CHS and Our Lady of Lourdes CHS tour to spot some of the best decorated Halloween houses in Guelph!
