International Languages Program

The International Languages Program at Wellington Catholic District School Board offers elementary students instruction in languages other than English and French, supporting cultural understanding through language learning. The program promotes diversity, fosters global awareness, and helps students develop valuable multilingual skills for today’s interconnected world.

Classes are held on Saturday mornings during the school year and weekday mornings in July, providing opportunities to learn or maintain a language while developing an appreciation for different cultures.

The International Languages Elementary Program is funded by the Ministry of Education and is free for Ontario students in Kindergarten to Grade 8.

Volunteer Opportunities for Adults & High School Students

The International Language Program team is looking for volunteers to support our students and staff. Volunteer hours are 9:15 AM - 12:15 PM for both our school year and summer programs. 

 

Volunteers may be asked to assist the teacher with a variety of tasks, including preparing materials for class, small group instruction, and recess supervision. We will take volunteer interests into consideration when determining classroom placements.
