Volunteer Opportunities for Adults & High School Students

The International Language Program team welcomes and encourages the participation of volunteers who can assist students and staff. We value the positive school/community partnerships fostered by our volunteers.

Our program plays a vital role in promoting cultural diversity, fostering global understanding, and empowering students with multilingual skills that are essential in today's interconnected world.

Volunteers are needed for Saturday sessions during the school year and our summer program which runs on weekdays during the first three weeks of July. Hours for both programs are 9:15 AM - 12:15 PM. Volunteers will be assigned to a classroom based on program needs. We will take volunteer interests into consideration when determining placements, but program needs will be prioritized.

Volunteers may be asked to assist the teacher with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Photocopying resources for the class
  • Direct 1:1 or small group instruction
  • Supervision in class and during recess
  • Assisting the classroom teacher with younger children in washroom routines
