A strong start with Kindergarten  

Our two-year Kindergarten program provides an engaging, play-based learning environment designed to help every child feel included and valued. This program builds a strong foundation for early learning by nurturing community connections and collaboration, helping children expand their knowledge and experiences, developing essential skills, and fostering a positive attitude toward education.

We are excited to welcome new families and students to Wellington Catholic DSB! We invite families to register their child for kindergarten by following these steps

  1. Find your school. Visit findmyschool.ca find your local Catholic school using your home address
  2. Pre-Register. Click here to complete the pre-registration form online. Once submitted, you will receive a unique registration code by email. Use the code and link provided to complete the online registration process.
  3. Schedule a meeting with school administration. Book an in-person meeting with school administration to submit required documents and finalize your child’s admission.

What Documents Do I Need to Register?

To complete your child’s registration, please bring the following documents to your meeting at the school.

  • Your child’s birth certificate
  • A Baptismal certificate (for parent or child)
  • Immunization records
  • Proof of tax support (e.g., most recent tax bill, for families new to the system)
  • Proof of address (i.e. utility/tax bill, purchase/lease agreement, cable/internet bill. A driver’s license, bank/credit card statements or cell phone bills are not accepted)
  • Custody papers, if applicable

Important note: Prior to registration, immunization records must be completed through Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health.

Registration for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program at Sacred Heart Catholic School, Guelph

Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School is the only International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) offered within Guelph and Wellington County.

There are limited program spaces available for IB PYP so a random selection process will be used if registration during the open period exceeds the number of spaces available. Please visit Sacred Heart’s website for more information about the IB program, and feel free to reach out to the school with any questions.
