Provincial Government Providing Funding for the Creation of New Student Spaces at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Fergus

The Ontario government is investing $5.2 million in the Wellington Catholic District School Board to build an addition at the St. Joseph Catholic School, helping working families in Fergus.

This investment, announced by Ted Arnott, MPP for Wellington-Halton Hills, will support the creation of 190 student spaces as part of the Ford Government’s commitment to building state-of-the-art schools for Ontario youth.

“This is exciting news for both the Wellington Catholic and St. Joseph Catholic School community,” shared Tracy McLennan, Associate Director Corporate Services and Treasurer for the Wellington Catholic DSB. “We are grateful to the Government of Ontario for the capital investment and we also want  to extend our appreciation to the Township of Centre Wellington for their support and partnership”

The project is part of a province-wide investment of nearly $500 million to support new school and child care spaces that were recently announced by Stephen Lecce, Minister of Education.
