Cindy McMann, Educator, and Jaseth Purcell, Human Trafficking Counsellor, from Women In Crisis on hosted a webinar on January 31st, 2023 6:00 - 7:00 pm for Understanding Human Trafficking: An Information Session for Parents.
This presentation provided information to parents about human trafficking: what it is, how traffickers operate, red flags and risk factors, and ways to talk about this issue with young people. Parent(s)/Caregiver(s) will receive an overview of the Anti-Human Trafficking presentation that is being delivered to Grade 7 and 10 students at Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board.
Resources that are available to support youth in school as well as in the community will also be provided.
