Happy Easter to Our Families

Dear Families,

This past weekend we celebrated Palm Sunday as a Catholic community and ushered in the start of Holy Week. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of our preparation for one of the most important events in the liturgical year, the Paschal Triduum, followed by Christ’s resurrection on Easter Sunday. Through this week we are reminded of Christ’s sacrifice for all of us through His death and the opportunity for new life in His resurrection.

Throughout the season of Lent and as we have approached this Easter weekend, there have been signs and symbols of learning and the honouring our Catholic faith traditions evident throughout our schools.  We are proud of the work of our students and staff in accepting the Lenten calling of prayer, fasting and acts of service to others.  Thank you for the efforts of our staff to bring our faith to life in our schools.

As we approach this weekend, we encourage you to join your parishes in celebrating Easter as a Catholic community.  We hope that you all have a restful Easter weekend ahead with time to enjoy each other and the signs of spring around us. We rejoice in the renewed sense of faith and hope that comes with the beginning of the Easter season.

Wishing you and your families a blessed and joyous Easter.
