The Wellington Catholic District School Board and the County of Wellington have selected Eramosa Learning Academy Inc. as the provider for the licensed child care center at St. Patrick Catholic Elementary School in Guelph, set to open in July 2024.
In January 2023, the Wellington Catholic DSB and County of Wellington were given approval to proceed with building a child care center at St. Patrick CS in Guelph, seeing construction beginning in the following summer. Funded by an investment from the Government of Ontario, the new stand-alone child care centre will accommodate 64 children under the age of four; ten infant, 30 toddler, and 24 preschool spaces. The project supports the government’s child care plan, which focuses on making child care more affordable, creating more choice and availability for families, reducing red tape and administrative burden, improving quality, and delivering high standards of care.
Following an RFP tender process, it was determined the operator of the new child care center will be the Eramosa Learning Academy Inc., who will provide both child care and before and after school programming. Eramosa Learning Academy Inc. currently operates the before and after school programming at St. Patrick CS in Guelph.
